Sledmere Sunset Trail 10K takes place on Friday 7th June at 19:30. Entries open at 10am on Saturday 18th November 2023 for The Sledmere Sunset Trail 10k and at 5pm for the Trail taster race. Enter below (live at 10am on Sat 18th Nov)

Driffield Striders and Nicola Amidulla Mortgages Ltd are proud to present the fantastic Sledmere Sunset Trail 10K race.

The Sunset Trail 10K takes a winding route through deep chalk valleys and secluded woodland paths to finish on the wide sweeping lawns in front of Sledmere House.

A warm summer evening and the beautiful location, together with the Trail Taster 3.6km race and kids Fun Run, make this a great family evening event.

10K race starts at 7.30pm (Fun Run at 6.15pm & Trail Taster at 6.30pm)

  • Fabulous medal awarded to all finishers
  • Chip timing
  • Minimum age is 15 years old on race day
  • No Entries available on the day
  • Parking, refreshments and toilets (no changing facilities)
  • Headphones are not permitted

Note:  The Trail Taster 3.6km race is also available at the event at 6.30pm (registration via separate race page on The Entry Point).

A Fun Run of approx 500m for children aged 9 and under (mostly running with a parent) will also be provided at 6.15pm. Entries on the day only (free to enter).

Sledmere Sunset Trail 2022

Hi All,
The Sunset Trail event at Sledmere last week was a great success with many factors coming together to create an enjoyable, fantastic evening for runners, supporters and their families.
However, we would like to recognise the significant error that unfortunately took place.
Due to a Marshalling error and some moved signage, some runners went the wrong way creating a mixed field of runners resulting in deep frustration and an impact to varied results in placings.
Driffield Striders deeply regrets this situation and apologises to all those affected by this error and we have ensured that steps have been put in place going forward.
We thank all entrants, supporters, volunteers, and families for their participation on Friday evening and wish to assure you that this very regrettable incident will not happen again.

Driffield Striders and Nicola Amidulla Mortgages Ltd are proud to present the 6th annual running of the fantastic Sledmere Sunset 10k Trail Race.

The Sunset Trail 10K takes a winding route through deep chalk valleys and secluded woodland paths to finish on the wide sweeping lawns in front of Sledmere House.

A warm summer evening and the beautiful location, together with a Trail Taster race (3.6km – see below for more details and entry) and a 500m kids Fun Run make this a great family evening out.

10K race starts at 7.30pm (Fun Run starts at 6.15pm & Trail Taster 3.6km race starts at 6.30pm)

The 10K will have chip timing and a fabulous medal will be awarded to all finishers.

New for 2020 will be race numbers posted out prior to the event. Therefore, please ensure you correctly enter your postal address when registering.

Sledmere Trail Taster 3.6km

 

Driffield Striders and Nicola Amidulla Mortgages Ltd are delighted to present the Sledmere Trail Taster 3.6km as part of the Sledmere Sunset 10k Trail event.

An off road 3.6km on paths and tracks around the picturesque grounds of Sledmere House. This race is a great option for anyone new to trail running or those who are looking for a shorter race distance.

Although there is no chip timing for the Trail Taster race, we do provide manual timing and the results will one posted on our website a couple of days after the event.

Trail Taster starts at 6.30pm (10k race starts at 7.30pm)

Minimum age for race is 5 years old on race day.

Entries available on the day (unless sold out prior to race day!)

A huge well done to all runners, supporters and marshals on Friday night for helping to make our event such a huge success – despite the rain and mud! It was a record breaking turnout and runners showed such grit and determination running in the tough challenging conditions on the night. A big thankyou to our sponsors Woolley and Parks estate agents and Driffield and Wolds Weekly for sponsoring the races. We hope you can join us again next year! Well done everyone.
