The race will be manually timed and finishers will receive a medal and drawstring kit bag too. Head to the race number collection gazebo in the main car park to register.

500 Metre Fun Run

The children’s Fun Run is free to enter and is just for younger children (parents can run with them). The course is about 500m long. There is no timing or mementos provided and entries are only taken on the night.

Race Numbers/Timing Chips – These are given out on the night, so please arrive early enough to allow time for this. The numbers are available under a gazebo in the main car park. Note: You will be asked to sign your name when collecting your race numbers to allow us to inform you about the race on 2019 (your details will not be used for any other purpose).

Parking – There is free parking available at Sledmere House: Post Code YO25 3XG (please follow car parking marshals instructions). Please car share when possible as there is limited parking on site.

Toilets – There will be portaloo’s and a urinal available for runners as well as toilets in the cafe.

Cafe/Gift Shop – This will be open during the event and will be selling snacks, hot and cold drinks etc.

Dogs – Dogs are welcome at Sledmere House but must be kept on a lead at all times.

Sponsors – Our race sponsors Woolley & Parks and H & K Embroidery will be represented at the race and will be giving out information.

Awards – Every finisher in the 10K and 3.6K Fun Run will receive a bespoke medal and drawstring kit bag.

Prizes will be awarded on the night for the first 3 male and female finishers in the 10K.

Age category winners will receive a prize sent in the post after the event. Top two finishers in both men and women in age categories V40, V50, V60 & V70.

Note: Only one prize per person will be awarded (the larger amount)

A special prize for the club with most 10K entrants will also be awarded on the night. The top three clubs with the most entrants are as follows:

1st Pocklington Runners 39, 2nd Scarborough A.C. 36 & 3rd Bridlington Road Runners 33.

Massage – Barrie Kitching will be available to give a massage to runners, pre and post race. Barrie will not be charging for this service but asks that you give him a donation as he is raising funds for a local charity.

That’s it for now. We’re very excited and are busy now getting the final arrangements sorted. See you soon!
